left my 2023 v strom 1050 at the dealer today for servicing and got a 2023 1290 ADV S. Jumping from one to the other, the seat on the 1290 is worse (and I have the low seat on the strom). My knee angles are significantly worse and I have worse ground reach. The foot pegs are weird, they are really inward. There's a good ammount of engine heat. The windshield is bad, really bad, even all the way up, my head was getting dizzy going arround 100 kph with burts of 140-150. The front brake is weird, it is powerfull but the lever needs to travel a while until they start biting (covered in the review also). For reference, I am 1.76 cms tall (5'9" I think that is). Other than that yeah, power is amazing, suspension feels good, who loves a gazillion electronics has them but overall, I can't wait to get my strom back.

Thats why I love Yamaha, I think they’ve got more spirit and character than the other Japanese manufacturers………..for me it reminds me of my 1989 TZR250, my 1994 FZR600R and the grand prix bikes of the late 80’s ……..so obviously very emotional 😆

Well done Yamaha for making something that appeals to those of us who love 80s bikes. The xsr motor is a peach. Frankly I’m super impressed that this got made, I have seen so many amazing concept bikes over the years that are so watered down by production time that all of the magic has gone. This bike looks just as good as the faster son’s special we saw a year or so ago. Brilliant. James should be very proud.

Still haven’t decided if I like it better with or without the lower plastics…🧐

Why doesn’t the United States get the Honda CB 750 that’s bullshit. We have the biggest roads but they don’t bring that bike over here.

I just bought this modell of Kawasaki l think it's absolutley great!!! Compare to my last bike l had.

Picked mine up 1st May 24. 2016 with only 5,500 miles. Loving it so far. Have now fitted a Beowulf can and some 20mm risers. Just nead the British weather to stop bloody raining. Im too old to ride a sports bike but this thing is a massive pile of fun.!!
